Beautiful garden with soo many exotic plants. Beautiful view of the river. The paths were quite rocky and rough so I'd recommend proper shoes. However, there is alot of things to do from looking at orchids to historical sites. It is better to properly plan a whole day for this than show up.

A really beautiful historical property with a lot to see-the centerpiece is the historic Bartram house, barn and out buildings. But there are paths through the woods to the river and lovely views of the Philadelphia skyline. Boat/kayak rental was not open but maybe it's only open on weekends. Loved it

A beautiful and peaceful place sitting just minutes from Center City! Bartram's Garden is nothing short of a breath of fresh air (quite literally), given its location and extreme proximity to Philly. I was there photographing a beautiful couple and the wonderful mix of nature, a hint of architecture and the Philly skyline showing behind the wide open fields gave me some amazing photo locations! I would absolutely recommend this place to my fellow photographers and nature lovers alike. You cannot go wrong with this place.

Walking the road to the visitors center corresponds closely with the park itself- tons of potential and some beauty but unfortunately missing that defining character to make it a place to return. Various walking paths exists including paved, gravel and grass. There is a pavilion space at the top of the hill that is great for parties and large groups. For smaller groups, there are picnic benches down the hill on the south side in varying states. Collectively, relative to other green spaces, Iβve visited in Philly and elsewhere, the length of the trails is limited. Also, the walking space and garden feels very fragmented and doesnβt convey a collective and connected whole. Trash was also piled up and overflowing onto the ground near the picnic tables. I will say that the staff are very friendly even offering a lift in their golf cart for free! The gift shop has a number of items for sale from pleasantly smelling candles to clothing. Slightly overpriced in my opinion. They also have free maps that are detailed and informative. In terms of accessibility, there is a large parking lot to the north of the visitor center for vehicles. If taking public transport, trolley T5 stops acros

My first visit to this lovely place. Definitely a place to go if you like the outdoors and walking and trees and plants that are really amazing. We went on Saturday, so there was also music and vendors. The couple of houses we saw were truly historical. The artwork, absolutely beautiful. Hope to revisit. Also, a wonderful place to take children.
